Do you offer bi-fold doors?Updated a month ago

Unfortunately, we don't offer bi-folding doors in our cabins because they often lead to structural issues. We've observed that many log cabin providers who initially offer bi-fold doors often discontinue them due to frequent problems post delivery.

The issues arise for several reasons:

  • Bi-folding doors are installed on tracks at both the top and bottom of the door opening. Since log cabins naturally expand and contract with temperature changes, uneven sunlight exposure, and other environmental factors, the cabin structure can shift and logs can move. This can lead to misalignment, as one side may expand more than the other, potentially twisting the doors and jamming the tracks.
  • When opened, bi-folding doors place extra weight on one end, which can throw the cabin out of square further and worsen alignment issues over time.

As an alternative, we offer high-quality aluminium sliding doors (see image below). They avoid the issues listed above and are really good (but do come at a cost). If you're interested, please let us know and we’d be happy to provide a quote.
